Meet Georgia Peach, Hire Administrator at CPS
Date: 13/03/25
Having spent almost a decade at Central Power Services, Georgia has achieved new qualifications and gained plenty of experience across multiple departments as the company has expanded.
In our latest “meet the team” blog, she told us what she most values about being part of CPS.
A decade of company and career progression
Georgia joined CPS in 2015, spending five years in the accounts team. Over the years, she has had the opportunity to spend time working in almost every department, expanding her skills and knowledge of the business.
“I started in accounts, working on purchase ledgers and parts administration,” she explains. “The company has grown so much since I joined, giving me a chance to try different things, so I’ve been able to experience a lot of different sides of the business.”
Georgia is now a key part of the hire team, ensuring the smooth operation of CPS’ generator hire services.
A varied role
Day to day, Georgia helps to keep the hire department running efficiently.
“I process the paperwork for our hire generators, whether they’re on-site or in the yard,” Georgia says. “Essentially, it’s making sure there is a completely smooth system: with the job sheets, if invoices are needed, if parts need ordering, if any repairs are needed or if we’ve had a call-out to a job site.”
With a wide range of clients relying on CPS for power, from healthcare facilities to hospitality, Georgia’s work is always varied.
Support and upskilling
For Georgia, the best part of working at CPS is the team.
“The people make the job,” she says. “It’s a really supportive environment, and there’s a great atmosphere in the office. Everyone works together to get things done.”
CPS has also supported Georgia with professional development opportunities, including funding her AAT accounting qualifications; “I was able to get my qualifications with full support from CPS who covered the cost.”
As she approaches her 10-year anniversary at CPS, Georgia also reflects on the flexibility to try new career paths. “If I ever wanted to try something different, I know CPS would be open to helping me move into another area of the business. They really do encourage staff to explore different roles if that’s something they’re interested in.”
